Construction of the main water pipeline (Force main) of pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipes (PCCP) having pressure 16 bar, starts from TGN with 2000 mm dia. for a length of 7000 meters followed by 1500mm dia., for a length of 15750 meters up to Wadi Hanifa.

The proposed route of pipeline crosses main streets at three locations (total 380 meters) where is it is specified to use thrust boring technique. The pipeline is to be protected from corrosion using cathodic protection system. Other related works Includes: 69 Nos., V. Chambers on the line with (total 99) various Butterfly Valves, Gate Valves, Washout Valves & Air Release Valve; Reinstatement of asphalt pavement, concrete pavements; Relocation of telephone & electrical cables; and erection of Sign Posts on the line.
