Construction, completion and maintenance of the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Stadium, including adjacent infrastructure and landscaping work at Ardiya comprises of: Access for Internal roads, bus and vehicle bays and helipad area. Parking for 6,650 cars. Training and warm-up facilities for football, running track and lawn area for maintenance connected to the arena level of the stadium by a tunnel. stadium football pitch, running track, the athlete’s zone, marathon and service gates. Stands for 58,000 Spectators, 600 Disabled persons, 250 Primary VIPs, 400 Secondary VIPs, 100 Media/ Press, 50 TV & Radio commentators, 50 Photographers, 50 press and Camera platforms.
The Landscaping Scope of Work is as follows: – (1) Earthwork: 272,000 m3; (2) Water Supply network: 5,000 ml; (3) Storm water network: 70,000 ml; (4) Asphalt works: 2,600,000 m2; (5) Athletic and recreation surfaces: 13,000 m2; (6) Fountains; (7) Irrigation water network: 5,000 ml; (8) Soft Landscape; (9) Fences and gates; (10) Sanitary Networks
Training & Warm up facilities including Track, Swimming pool, Sauna and Steam rooms. Administration Area, Workshop, stores for cleaning equipment, seat related materials, building related materials, general stores, waste and removal stores. Infrastructure services and utilities including connection to existing city main services networks.

Salient Features: Elliptical, 285 m (long) x 260 m (wide) x 40 m (high) – Total Steel: 2,700 tons; Stadium consists of: Compression Ring, Flying mast, 2 nos. circumferential catwalks (inner & outer ring) & four radial catwalks; 36 Compression Ring elements; Radial Span 55 m; Trial assembly conducted in shop to check alignment & dimensional tolerances.
