The major scope of works will include Design and Construction of Quay Wall, Design and Construction of Small Boat Harbour; and Design and construction of Reclamation Works. The Quay wall will be of steel piles combi-wall with a single row of ties. After completion, the quay wall will form 4 berths of container terminal (Total 1 million TEU). Reclamation will consist of a conventional foreshore reclamation utilizing marine dredged fill, placed hydraulically up to mean sea level and then using land based plant above. Consolidation will be archived by using vertical band drains and surcharge. Small Boat Harbour will be constructed as a continuation to the Quay wall structure (400 m long) for temporary purposes and will be removed in the next 3rd phase of the scheme when the quay wall is extended and more berths are constructed.
